Every German language noun is written with a captial letter irrespective of its position in the sentence. German nouns have a gender. Gender of German noun can be masculine, feminine or neuter.
If the gender of German language noun is masculine, it has article "der". All feminine German nouns have article "die" and all neuter nouns in German language have article "das".
There are certain hints and tricks, through which it is possible to identify gender of German nouns. Some nouns like "names of days, months, seasons etc are masculine nouns and their article is die.
