Documentary examining the growing attraction of the hot tub in Britain. Jacuzzis and whirlpools are no longer just a fantasy seen on an American soap or as accessories for the very rich. The tub has gone mainstream and has become Britain's most desirable status symbol, as one family business in Blackpool knows only too well.
Dennis Holmes, his son Dan Holmes and son-in-law Ross Phillipson own the biggest hot tub superstore in Britain, with a turnover of more than 10 million pounds a year. This documentary follows them and their staff through their busiest months. Everyone is hoping that this will be their most successful year to date. But with nearly half the workforce composed of family and the remainder being friends, tensions begin to show as the business expands and rival ambitions begin to bite. On a personal note, we talk to hot tubbers up and down the country who have taken to the bubbles as they share their passion for a nice hot soak.
