Hey folks, driving in Cairo is interesting to watch. It is never boring on the streets of Cairo. For more information subtitles in different languages are available. If you have suggestions or feedback just leave a comment, thank you.

I also permanently displayed the permitted maximum speed. I've heard a lot of complaints about Speeding Tickets. In this way I hope to protect you from possible Speeding tickets. In future videos I will continue this on main roads.

You have to watch out for walking people, taxis, toktok's and especially for (white) microbuses. Their behavior is unpredictable and it can lead to a disaster. Otherwise is driving in Cairo, Egypt a funny and enjoyable thing. Always wear your seat belt and keep to the speed limit.

New Cairo
New Cairo (القاهرة الجديدة) is a planned city in the metropolitan area of Cairo in Egypt with a suburban character.
The city has an area of about 343km² and is located on the south-eastern edge of al-Qahira Governorate, 25 kilometers (15mi) from Cairo district Maadi.
New Cairo is one of the new cities which have been built in and around Cairo to alleviate the congestion in Down Town Cairo.
It was established in the year 2000 by presidential decree number 191.
Located in what was formerly Helwan Governorate, and located to the east of Maadi and Heliopolis, New Cairo ranges in elevation between 250 and 307 metres (820 and 1,007 ft) above sea level.
The city is designed for a capacity of 5 million inhabitants.
New Cairo has a population of just over 310,000 people and a related population density of just under 915 people.
Annual population growth of 1.1% is just below Cairo's, which is 1.2%.
The city is connected to other cities by a vast network of bus lines, and construction has begun for a monorail line.
The Cairo monorail will connect the city with the Cairo suburb of Nasr City to the west, and the New Administrative Capital to the east.
The city gets its drinking water from a water plant in Obour City, nearby.

El Mokattam
El Mokattam (المقطم), also known as the Mokattam Mountain or Hills, is the name of a range of hills and a suburb in them, located in southeastern Cairo, Egypt.
The Arabic name Mokattam means cut off or broken off and apparently refers to how the low range of hills is divided into three sections.
Paul Casanova advocated the idea that it's a corruption of an older name Maqaduniya (مقدونية), mentioned in Medieval Arabic sources,
which he derives from Makhetow (Ancient Egyptian: Mḫꜣ.t-Tꜣ.wy, lit. 'Scales of the Two Lands'), one of the names of Memphis.
The highest segment is a low mountain landform called Mokattam Mountain.
In the past the low mountain range was an important ancient Egyptian quarry site for limestone, used in the construction of temples and pyramids.
The oldest surviving domed tombs (Qubbas) from the Fatimid period are on Mokattam Hill.
The hills are in the region of ancient Fustat, the new capital founded by 'Amr ibn al-'As after the Muslim conquest of Egypt in 642 CE.
The Zabbaleen people (garbage collectors), who are an integral part of collecting and processing Cairo's municipal solid waste, live in Mansheat Nasser, Garbage City, at the foot of the Mokkatam Hills.
El Mokattam also borders the districts of Nasr City (Madinet Nasr) and el Khalifa.
It is now possible to drive directly from el Mokattam to New Cairo and to come directly to Maadi via Hasaballa el Kafrawy Axis.
