What is Triangulation?

Triangulation is a form of psychological manipulation aimed at, among other things, dividing and conquering others.  It is an unhealthy maladaptive strategy that tends to generate even more negativity in relationships. In this video Darren Magee outlines the nature of triangulation, some of the reasons behind why people triangulate and the affects it has not only on the person being targeted, the third party brought into the conflict, but also on the manipulator themselves.
