A growing number of Chinese millennials have been moving overseas, wanting to escape from what they describe as a high stress lifestyle and poor job prospects back home. Thailand is one of the most popular destinations for this group of emigrants. About 77,000 Chinese nationals relocated to the country in 2020, according to data from the United Nations.
