FIREX Model G6 Smoke Alarm Warning

My real name is Gord. I changed it for this video because at the time, my employer did not like their employees posting on social media. I'm now retired.
This is a short video informing you of a failed FIREX Smoke Alarm, Model G6.
There were three units in my friend's house, and all three were 15 years old. Each of them sounded when the Test button was pushed, but they did not activate together. These Alarms were part of interconnected system, which did NOT work. An interconnected smoke alarm system activates EVERY SMOKE ALARM on the circuit when one detector activates. In short, when one alarm activates, ALL OF THEM will sound simultaneously.
I have also seen this Model of Smoke Alarm not work at all when the button is pushed, So please, check your smoke alarms monthly, vacuum them at least once a year, change your batteries every 12 months, and REPLACE YOUR SMOKE ALARMS AT 10 YEARS OF AGE!!!
