How to use the InStr
How to use the InStr (in string) function in VBA -- and Left, Trim and Mid functions, to break a messy text string into its parts.
Using name of someone, texts of varied lengths, containing spaces and names, are broken into consistent Lastname and FirstName columns.
To make best use of Access, or any database, is to store information by its smallest parts as it's easy to combine!
This video has been resurrected from an older Access tutorial series by DataPigTechnologies. Even though Access looks different now, the concepts and functionality persist.
