The Wreck of USS Yorktown – A Fighter Until the Very End

The Battle of Midway is one of the most famous engagements in naval history. It should be little surprise that the wrecks of that battle have attracted much attention. However, only three have been located, thus far. Akagi, Kaga, Yorktown.

I have previously covered Kaga, in both the overall Midway video and a dedicated video. This weekend will be Yorktown's turn.

In this video, we'll look at both the initial Ballard survey, and the more recent look by Nautilus. I'll compare and contrast where I can, but otherwise, this will largely focus on the more recent look. More material to work with, there.
