The best time to visit the zoo is from from morning 8:30 AM to 11 AM and from 3 PM to 5:30 PM as this is the time, when the animals and birds are active.
The entry fare for Mysore Zoo are as follows:
Adult: Rs 80 (Rs 100 during weekends and holidays)
Children( 5-12 years): Rs 40 (Rs 80 during weekends and holidays)
Children(below 5 years): Free on all working days.
History of Mysore Zoo:
The Mysore Zoo was established in 1892 by Maharaja Chamarajendra Wadiyar and was initially intended for the exclusive use of the royal family.
