Unlike the Wolf this Canine had an unusually large head and powerful jaws like a modern Hyena or extremely large Pitbull.
Some Epicyon Haydeni have been estimated at around 150 to 250 pounds with one specimen thought to be a massive 374 pounds in weight.
Canine species of the Borophaginae family aka:- bone crushing dogs extinct around 5 millions years ago.
