Designer Petra Blaisse works in a multitude of creative areas, including exhibition design, landscape and textile.
She founded the agency 'Inside -- Outside' in 1991 and has headquarters in Amsterdam. Her team consists of about 10 people of different backgrounds and nationalities.
She designs and lectures all over the world and has long lasting collaborations with internationally renowned architects."
Petra Blaisse was invited by the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam to design the exhibition Snapshot. Snapshot shows the influence that photography had on the work of seven artists that lived during the end of the nineteenth, and beginning of the 20th century.
Inspired by nature, the designs made by 'Inside -- Outside' often are dynamic, moving, 3-dimensional and of large, architectural proportions.
In the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, Blaisse -- in collaboration with Architects Benthem Crouwel and design agency Concern -- works on a huge mural tapestry.
