Introduction
If you’ve been on my channel in the past three weeks you’ve probably noticed some really quick Solo GM speedruns done on Solar Hunter. I have a 14:43 Platinum Lake of Shadows, and I just did a 20:14 Heist Moon. This is the first season where Solar Hunter have been contenders for beating solo gms quickly, so I figured I’d make a video going over the build that I use since I get a lot of comments asking for it. The best thing about this build is that being in a fireteam doesn’t have an effect on the build, and the core pieces of the build are easily obtainable. If you enjoy the build, make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any future builds that I upload!
Subclass Setup
I’m going to start with the subclass setup, because the exotic armor pieces and weapons you use can vary depending on your playstyle. For Aspects, I recommend Knock ‘Em Down, and On Your Mark.

Knock Em Down buffs our solar supers, and lets our throwing knife get refunded while radiant on final blows, and On Your Mark gives us increased handling and reload speed for a short duration on precision final blows or using your class ability. I’m not a big gunpowder gamble fan because I don’t like blowing myself up when I try to use a healing nade, but you are more than welcome to use it if you so choose.

In terms of fragments, due to the artifact mods this season, namely Rays of Precision, Flint Striker, and Kindling Trigger, I recommend you focus on a scorch/ignition build. My recommendations is that you run Singeing to get your Class Ability back very quickly when scorching targets, Empyrean to extend the Restoration and Radiant buffs, Char and Ashes to apply more scorch to targets and inflict scorch upon ignitions, adn then Eruption to increase the size of our ignitions. Again these are suggestions, but there are other choices below. Let me know in the comments what fragments you like to run on your solar Hunter.

Exotics and Weapon Suggestions
So in terms of exotics to pair with this, I would say there are two big choices: Celestial Nighthawk and Lucky Pants. In lower tier content, Shards isn’t bad where you can be consistently getting melee kills (see my Shards video), however I don’t think Ophidia Spathe is worth it since in higher tier content you’re not using the melees for kills, and in lower tier content it would kill the enemies anyway. Foetracer isn’t a bad choice either, but I think Celestial and Lucky Pants are just better than Foetracer.
Celestial Nighthawk got buffed this season, and is what I was using. When I use Celestial Nighthawk, I pair it with Fixed Odds from Duality, with Field Prep and Incandescent, and then I use either Polaris Lance or Wish-Ender. Polaris Lance is very good for an easy, consistent GM clear this season and allows for insane ad-clear with this ignition build. Wish-Ender is a good alternative, and frankly feels better to use but is a bit slower.
Lucky Pants requires a hand cannon to get it to it’s best benefit, so your choices here would either be Malfeasance, Warden’s Law, or Erianas Vow. Since we’re on Solar, Erianas Vow would work decently well, but requires special ammo so just keep that in mind. I’d still recommend Fixed Odds though to go crazy on trash mobs.
Your non-intrisic weapons are anti-barrier while radiant, so Polaris Lance is basically intrinsic Anti-Barrier this season, and igntiions cause Unstoppable, so Polaris Lance is also Unstoppable this season. So if you choose to use Polaris Lance you would only need an Overload stun to have all three champs covered - something like a Chill Clip riptide, would work well if you don’t want to run double primary, and if you do, an Auto will work just fine. If you are using Lucky Pants, Warden’s Law or Malfeasnace would be Unstoppable, and Erianas would be Anti-Barrier, so you’d still need something to deal with Overload Champions. 3 Gms this season have Overload Champs - Birthplace, Corrupted, and HyperNet, so just keep tha tin mind or check what your teammates are running to see if you even need to put Overload on.

Gameplay Loop
The gameplay loop, as with most D2 builds now-a-days, is so simple. This one is get radiant using Polaris Lance Headshots (you need three), and then start spamming your machine gun on trash mods, or if there’s a large group of ads you can use Polaris Lance to cause an ignition (think of Heist Moon entrance). Once you need to reload your machine gun, dodge to reload and continue to go crazy. Hope you enjoy!
