VW Golf MK7 (5G) hot air from passengers vent cause?

Warm air from right vent,
Warm air from right vent, cold from left one, when A/C is set to low - it's a common issue with VAG cars. There are some things that you try to do in order to fix the air condition, some don't require diagnostic tools.
ℹ️ In my car this problem appeared one morning and I initially thought that it's caused by temperature adjustment flaps inside the HVAC unit, so I started with basic settings of the #Climatronic module (also called calibration, adaptation, programing, relearning of the end positions).
🛠 You can perform this with a button combination which should work in most Volkswagen, Seat, and Skoda cars: turn on the ignition, then press and hold at the same time buttons AC/ECON and front vent. Release when indicators start to blink and wait about 30 seconds for the basic settings to be performed.
ℹ️ Basic settings of the climatronic unit didn't help - air was still #hot, so I checked if the flaps are actually working correctly and if there's no mechanical issue that I can see near the mechanism and motors (V158 and V159). Both are working correctly, so the issue must be somewhere else.
ℹ️ Looking at the live data from module 08 (Climatronic) with OBDeleven I confirmed that the A/C compressor was working, there is pressure in the system, temperature sensors are working correctly. So I believe one of two things had happened:
1. A/C system is low on the refrigerant and there's a leak in the system
2. The thermostatic expansion valve (#TXV) is jammed and it's blocking the system causing my issues.
