How to be a MORE competitive transfer student for top colleges

I've been getting questions like:-
I've been getting questions like:
- "How many units should I take to be a more competitive student?"
- "Does it matter how many units I take per semester?"
- "Should I max out my units each semester so I can finish my GEs quicker"?
If you have similar questions like these, then I think I might have the answer for you.
While I say CC is "easy" and that the transferring process is straightforward, that doesn't mean that everyone will transfer out well.
There will be several people in the same boat as you, trying to get the upper hand so that they can beat you out of your transfer spot.
So for those who want to get the same upper hand and an advantage, maybe you should try out this method.. b/c this is what I did...

My High School Stats:
GPA: 3.2 (unweighted)
SAT: 1980/2400 (600 reading, 600 math, 780 writing)
Extracurriculars: 4 years band lol
Essays: 9/10
Colleges accepted: 0/10 (UCSC waitlist)
My Community College Stats:
GPA: 4.0
Letter of Rec: 3
Years attended: 2 years
Extracurriculars: Jamba Juice
Essays: 9/10
Colleges accepted: USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UCSD, UC Irvine, UC Davis, Cal Poly SLO, UCSB (8/8 accepted)
College I Chose: University of Southern California
