There was a collision between a delivery truck and a railcar at the railroad crossing in Widełka, Kolbuszowa county, Poland. As a result of the sustained injuries, despite the resuscitation, the Citroen's driver died along with 17-year old train passenger after few-day hospitalization.
Before 11 am, the officer on duty in the Kolbuszowa police received a report about an accident at a railway crossing in Widełka. Preliminary findings show that the driver of a Citroen delivery truck drove onto a railway crossing without gates and collided with an EMU. After the collision, the train caught fire. A 54-year-old resident of the Lublin Province, who was driving a Citroen, died despite resuscitation.
7 passengers traveled on the train. One of the passengers of the train, a 17-year-old female resident of the Kolbuszowa county, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, which was followed by her death a few days later. The officers determined that the driver and train manager were sober.
