How To Make A Wub Or Dubstep Bass In LMMS
Instructions:
Open LMMS and start by clicking on the Triple oscillator in the song editor rack. If there is not one there go in to the plugin directory at the left side of your screen and open one. Now that you have the LMMS Triple Oscillator open go to its ENV/LFO tab. Inside the ENV/LFO tab click the rectangle beside the word filter so that it turns on. At the top left corner of LMMS you should be able to find a button that says show/hide controller rack on the bottom row to the right, click this icon. Once the controller rack is open click add then click controls. Open your Triple Oscillator instrument tab back up and now where it says freq underneath where you clicked filter Right click it and connect to controller than click user controller and make sure you're connecting it to controller 1. Now that this is done you should have the basic wub or dubstep bass sound. Next, you'll probably want to add some differentiation to your sound so open up your LFO controller and right click spd or speed than under tempo sync you can click how fast or slow of a note you want it to start at. More than likely, you don't want it to be this speed for the whole song so now we shall automate it hold down control then click and drag the spd control to the automation track (change the speed of note with tempo sync and repeat). Now you should have a pretty alright sounding wub or dubstep bass in LMMS.
