Kymco has updated its maxi-scooter, the Dink 150, for 2024 in the European markets. Kymco is now offering the scooter in two variants – Flat and Tunnel R. As the names suggest, the former gets a flat footboard for added luggage space while the latter gets a centre spine, similar to the Yamaha Aerox 155, which is more in line with maxi-scooters. Needless to say, both variants of the Dink 150 are based on the same platform. The maxi-scooter is powered by a 150cc, liquid-cooled engine that produces around 14bhp of max power and 13.7Nm of peak torque. This is very similar to its close rival, the Yamaha Aerox 155, which churns out 14.7bhp and 13.9Nm from its 155cc, liquid-cooled mill. Accompanying this mill is a traditional hardware package as the Dink rides on 13-inch alloys, is suspended by telescopic forks and dual springs while braking is taken care of by a single disc at both ends with a combined braking system. The most interesting aspect of the Kymco Dink 150 is its design. Just like all other scooters in the brand’s portfolio, the Dink looks profoundly muscular and burly. At the front, it boasts a large and angular apron crowned by a tall windscreen while the rear section gets a spacious stepped seat sitting on a long tail. The list of features is also decent with a keyless ignition system, a USB charging port, full-LED lighting, and a three-pod, fully-digital console.
