This first video is less playing and more talking - unlike the other 9 videos in which I play much more - but is required viewing so that you may feel my style, get an idea of the philosophy and choose if you wish to continue; of course, I hope you will.
Understand the correct channel of energy: Mind - Body - Piano. It is certainly not the piano which plays the fingers which tell the mind what to think. Across my channel, discover philosophies such as the Internal Piano, Internal Jukebox, the Mind Triangle, your Musical Personality and the idea of becoming an observer to your hands. All these things are so very important to Your natural progress before you even sit at the piano. Thus, my channel focuses heavily on the mind and will provide much inspiration for you both at and way from the piano. Consider my blog a side-dish to the videos.
New piano? New plan? Learning the piano is not difficult and over 10 videos, I am going to prove this. In each video, using my philosophical teaching approach combined with my motivating and encouraging style, you are going to become whatever being a great pianist means to You.
What you must acknowledge, however, is that 10 videos does not mean it takes 10 hours, or 10 days, even 10 weeks! It will take as long as it takes for you to consider that you have reached an acceptable level; this may involve going to take exams, making recordings of pieces or your own compositions and getting feedback, or visiting a real-life teacher for refinement. Please bear this in mind during the 10 video course.
