- Panini Toscani (Panini - near Duomo)

Market/food court:
- Mercato Centrale - Da Nerbone (traditional tuscan - beef sandwich is really good), Pasta Fresca (famous fresh pasta)
- Eataly (grocery, cafe, & pizza by the slice)

Table Service:
- Il Ristoro dei Perditempo (pasta, soup, salad, etc. - view of Ponte Vecchio)
- Osteria Ponte Vecchio (simple food & wine - view of Ponte Vecchio)
- Osteria Santo Spirito (amazing food - try lunchtime or make a reservation)

Gelato:
- Gelateria Edoardo (near the Duomo)
- Il Vivoli (near Santa Croce)

Cafe/Bakeries
- Cafe Gilli (coffee & pastry)
- Bar Pitti (coffee & pastry - they also have bistro food)
- Forno Bruschi Ivana Hemp (amazing bakery - try the coccoli caldi!)


Where I stayed - I felt safe at both locations as a solo traveler, but more so at the hotel.
