Jennifer's story | Multiple melanomas

Jennifer spent years in and out of hospitals, undergoing surgeries to remove moles and treat melanoma that she first discovered when she was 21. At one point, she was told she may not make it to Christmas and that she shouldn't have any more children. But she didn't listen, and turned 78 in July 2022 as a mother to four children and three step-children, and a grandmother and great-grandmother. She and her family have now done genetic testing to help researchers learn more about why some families develop multiple melanomas caused by a gene mutation.
