Microsoft Nightmare - Reactivation of Office 2008

Microsoft Vista ran an Automatic Update while editing a file using Word in Microsoft Office '2008.  Apparently Microsoft Office '2008 was corrupted during the Vista Automatic Update.  Office '2008 was uninstalled and reinstalled.  This required RE-ACTIVATION.  
A problem arose as the software had been activated too many times.  The option to re-activate over telephone was selected.  No further dialogs were made available and NO TELEPHONE number was offered by the software.

If we added the money required to resolve this issue and the money required to purchase the installed software we could have purchased an Apple MacBook Pro.

Windows Vista is an EXPENSIVE operating system to purchase and maintain.
