Unlike most of its predecessors in the popular Gel-Nimbus line, the Asics Gel-Nimbus 25 is a shoe that arrives with a lot of hype around it. The midsole has been updated on the shoe to pack in 20% more foam and Asics’s has also changed the Gel used to PureGel.

All the updates are designed to make the Gel-Nimbus 25 more comfortable, and it now sits firmly in the max-cushioned shoe camp. How does it actually feel on the run though? Run Tester Nick took it out for 15 miles to find out.

NOTE: The UK price appears to be £175, not £165, which is the price we got from Asics ahead of launch.
