THIS IS JUST FOR FUN PURPOSES, I'M NOT MAKING MONEY OF IT. ALL RIGHTS GO TO THEIR RESPECTIVE OWNERS.

This is my tribute to one of the best (if not the best) operatic basses of all time, a man whose wonderful timbre and vibrato made him my first choice when listening to bass arias.

Kurt Moll (1938-2017)
Voice Type: Low Bass (aka. Basso Profondo)
Vocal Range: Bb1*-F4

*At least what I've heard while singing on stage with an orchestra, but most probably he could sing much lower than that (and perhaps a bit higher as well, since his technique was outstanding).

High register:
0:05 A funny Bb4 and A4 in falsetto, from "O Sancta Justitia": Albert Lortzing's opera "Zar und Zimmermann".
0:16 A powerful F4 from "Rollend in schäumenden Wellen": Haydn's oratorio "Die Schöpfung".
0:27 Another F4 from "Da lieg Ich": Strauss' opera "Der Rosenkavalier".
0:40 More F4!! From the same opera.
0:50 Probably my favorite character portrayed by Moll: Osmin. Here are some E4 from his famous aria "Ha! wie will Ich triumpheren": Mozart's opera "Die Entführung aus dem Serail"
1:04 From Richard Strauss same aria from "Der Rosenkavalier", a strong E4.
1:15 Another E4 sung by a terrifying character: Il Commendatore, from "Don Giovanni, a cenar teco m'invitasti": Mozart's opera "Don Giovanni" (Samuel Ramey performance as Don Giovanni is also remarkable!!).
1:30 An Eb4 from "Wer ein Liebchen hat gefunden": Mozart's opera "Die Entführung aus dem Serail".
1:40 Another Eb4 from the same opera.
1:46 A powerful Eb4 from the same aria from "Don Giovanni".
2:00 A relaxed D4 from "Seid früchtbar alle": Haydn's oratorio "Die Schöpfung".
2:09 Some D4 from Osmin's aria.

Low register:
2:18 A G2 from "Wer ein Liebchen hat gefunden".
2:30 A full F2 from the same aria.
2:47 Probably the most famous aria for basses: "O Isis und Osiris". Here Moll nails the final F2: Mozart's opera "Die Zauberflöte".
3:08 Another strong F2 from Osmin's aria.
3:20 A short E2 from "Wer ein Liebchen at gefunden".
3:27 A descending scale down to an E2 from Osmin's aria.
3:36 From "Da lieg Ich", the famous E2 of Baron Ochs auf Lerchenau.
4:02 The same aria, the same note, the same passion. An epic finale for a 2nd act.
4:25 An Eb2 from "Ich gehe, doch rate Ich dir", followed by some strong F4: Mozart's opera "Die Entführung aus dem Serail".
4:45 An Eb2 from "Wer ein Liebchen hat gefunden".
4:57 A monstrous D2 from "Da lieg Ich".
5:06 This is by far my favorite: the last note The Commander sings, before dragging Don Giovanni to hell. An outstanding and shocking D2 (he is the ONLY bass that had sung that note, every other one sings the note an octave higher).
5:21 Everyone was expecting this one, the famous D2 from the aria of Osmin.
5:36 The famous Osmin's D2 PART 2
5:57 An excellent D2 with a clear vibrato from "Seid früchtbar alle".
6:13 A monstrous and powerful C2 from "Mein Lieber Hippolyte": Strauss' opera "Der Rosenkavalier".
6:42 This one is ridiculously great, while imitating the contrabassoon in "O Sancta Justitia", Kurt Moll hits a Bb1!!!
