Next Generation Toyota 4Runner FINALLY Confirmed!
Since the SUV is overdue for a long-awaited redesign and update, we are all eagerly expecting the arrival of the new 2024 Toyota 4Runner.
Toyota has promised 70 global electric models by 2025. In fact, electrified versions of every Toyota model will be offered by 2025. It is logical to assume that the upcoming 4Runner will be a hybrid as well, given that the new, full-size Sequoia SUV and Tundra pickup are already hybrids and that the new Tacoma is getting electrification.
According to an internal source who provided the information to the 4Runner6G forum, the powertrain will lose two cylinders for the sixth-generation vehicle. A manual transmission option will also be available, similar to what we saw with the 2024 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
According to reports on the 4Runner6G forum, the new 4Runner will lose its six-cylinder engine and switch to a four-cylinder one, just like the Tacoma. With the base 2.4-liter turbo, the i-Force 2.4-liter turbo with the new six-speed manual, the i-Force 2.4-liter turbo with the eight-speed automatic, and the i-Force max 2.4-liter turbo hybrid with the automatic transmission, there will be four different variants of this engine.
Gearheads will be pleased by the new manual transmission, and its inclusion is as unexpected as it was with the 2017 Tacoma pickup vehicle.
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma features some tough and chunky style that truly boosts its appearance as part of Toyota's extensive revamping and refreshing of its lineup of SUVs and off-roaders. According to 4Runner6G, the future 4Runner will have angular and aggressive style to bulk up its stance, and will have a front end similar to the 2024 Tacoma.
Better ease of entrance will be provided by a new, much more upright C-pillar, and the forum also claims that it won't be very different from the existing 4Runner. The addition of the 4Runner TRD Pro is a really welcome development, even though we may have preferred a little more of a revamp.
The forum also provides information on when the new 4Runner will be accessible, indicating that Job 1 manufacturing is currently anticipated to begin in July 2024. The 4Runner will go on sale sometime in 2025.
According to the forum, prototypes have been driving around the country since 2021, however unlike some other test cars, the 4Runner prototype hasn't been as widely seen. The new 4Runner, like the Tacoma, is eagerly awaited and begs for official announcements to be made soon.
Toyota Multimedia Audio System
The new Toyota Audio Multimedia System, which was created in the United States, should be standard on the 2024 Toyota 4Runner, following in the footsteps of the Tundra. This system, which integrates Toyota's new Intelligent Assistant and has a panel between 8 and 14 inches in size, delivers greater resolution, quicker reaction, and clearer graphics. Even after a long day, customers might ask the assistant to tell them jokes!
At least one physical dial will be included with even this larger screen to enable rapid changes to the media volume. Along with these additional features, the new Toyota Audio Multimedia system also includes a number of linked services, including Drive Connect, Cloud Navigation, and Destination Assist. A JBL premium audio system, surround-view cameras, heated and cooled front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa compatibility would also be included in the 2024 4Runner.
IsoDynamic Performance Seat
For the driver and front passenger of the 2024 4Runner, Toyota may offer its new IsoDynamic Performance Seat, probably as an exclusive to the TRD Pro trim. When driving on bumpy roads and uneven terrain, these chairs should appear to be most useful.
