Rubicon's Trish Long helped launch the book 'Places for the Living, Places for the Dead: Archaeological Discoveries on the N25 New Ross Bypass' with a presentation on the thousands of years of fascinating human life discovered during the archaeological investigations on this transformative Transport Infrastructure Ireland road project in County Wexford and County Kilkenny.
The book, launched in the lovely surrounds of New Ross Library, was edited by James Eogan of TII and James Hession of Rubicon Heritage. 'Places for the Living, Places for the Dead' is the 14th in TII's Heritage Series, is a celebration of the archaeological and heritage work funded by TII as part of the N25 New Ross Bypass, a massive - and hugely important - linear infrastructure project worked on by Rubicon Heritage in Wexford and Kilkenny.
The launch was attended by TII's Chief Executive Peter Walsh and Senior Archaeologist James Eogan; Rubicon Heritage's Patricia Long; The Heritage Council's Head of Conservation, Ian Doyle; representatives of New Ross Municipal District; and Eamonn Hore, Deputy Chief Executive of Wexford County Council.
