The rock paintings of Tassili
The rock paintings of Tassili are a set of several thousand paintings located mainly on the Tassili Plateau near the city of Djanet in Algeria. They are inscribed on the list of world heritage of humanity by Unesco.
The paintings literally model what was the life of the people living in Tassili N'Ajjer thousands of years ago. We mainly see multiple characters representing local inhabitants relating to their daily life in various situations such as hunting scenes with many wild animals.
Some of the paintings are nonetheless particularly strange and interesting, as they could represent scenes of extraterrestrials having come to the inhabitants of Tassili.
The photos on this video were all taken by myself during my stay on the Tassili N'Ajjer Plateau in September 2019, they only represent a tiny part of the paintings located in Tassili.
