Murrin Provincial Park is located just south of Squamish and is where Browning Lake is located, just next to Highway #99. The park is popular in the summer with families picnicking, cooling off in the lake, climbers using several climbing walls, and hikers using the trails up to the spectacular viewpoints along Jurassic Ridge and the Quercus Viewpoint. These viewpoints offer incredible views of Howe Sound and the surrounding region.

There are 2 hiking options for this trail.

1. Hike up to Jurassic Ridge, which is further and the descent is a bit more difficult in places as you have to use some rope assists along the smooth, slippery rock.

2. Hike the Murrin Loop Trail, which bypasses the Jurassic Ridge section. This is much shorter and easier, although still has the initial steep section.

Both options go to the Quercus Viewpoint.
