Cast and filmmakers from the
Cast and filmmakers from the Disney+ Australian original series “The Clearing” joined to celebrate the official Australian premiere at Sydney’s Wharf Theatre ahead of the series global debut on May 24 on Disney+.
The Clearing is a psychological thriller that tells the story of two sisters who find themselves haunted by a dark secret. The book is set in the fictional town of Willow Creek and was published on September 6th.
Miranda Otto was joined on the black carpet by Kate Mulvany, Hazem Shammas, Julia Savage, Claudia Karvan, Doris Younane, Gary Sweet, Mark Coles-Smith and fellow castmates, as well as directors Jeffrey Walker and Gracie Otto, and series writers Matt Cameron and Elise McCredie.
Also in attendance was author J.P. Pomare, whose best-selling crime thriller ‘In The Clearing’ was the inspiration for the series.
