I have a complicated relationship with the Goodreads Choice Awards... every year I tell myself not to get my hopes up, and then every year I do anyway only to have them dashed when Goodreads lets us all down yet again 🙃

This year I thought I'd make it more enjoyable by commiserating with a friend... so Jananie @thisstoryaintover and I decided to do a buddy read of one of the nominees! I was shocked to discover I'd read the most nominees in the horror category (who ever thought I'd turn into a horror girly?? Not me! 😱) so we decided to pick from there and see if these books are actually any good!
