How to Close Yarn Overs Knitwise (or on a knit row) #shorts

A yarn over creates a decorative eyelet in your knitting but it's possible to use a yarn over to increase your stitch count but then close the hole so you don't have the eyelet. The first way to close the hole is to knit the yarn over through the back leg. Doing this causes yarn over to twist and slant to the left. If you want it to slant to the right, slip the yarn over to the right needle knitwise, then slip it back to the left needle purlwise (to maintain the new stitch mount). Now you can knit it through the front leg and it will twist closed and slant to the right.
