Two more Rockwell B-1B Lancers
Two more Rockwell B-1B Lancers of the US Air Force arrive in the UK during a deployment of bombers to Europe; after they were intercepted by Russian fighter jets while on a NATO deterrence mission in the Baltic Sea. The supersonic bomber planes (nicknamed 'Bones') of the 9th Bomb Squadron from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, landed at RAF Fairford, a bomber airfield for the US Air Forces in Europe. They joined two other Lancers that arrived days earlier, bringing the total so far to four B-1 Lancers deployed for Bomber Task Force 23-3 in the European theater.
