🤝 The publication of these video speeches is an impartial presentation of the speeches implemented by our mod in the Hearts of Iron IV game and is not intended as an endorsement of any particular speech.
This mod has only one goal: historical immersion.
I am not an historian. But none of the words used in these speeches have been altered. For some speeches, however, passages have been cut to shorten the listening time in-game, which could have been far too long and inconvenient for the game. I therefore invite you to listen to or read the speeches in their entirety. Many archive sources are available on the Internet.
Other speeches have also been cut for obvious reasons of not propagating racist or anti-Semitic remarks, which have no place in such a game or on our youtube channel.
✪ This mod features historical speeches and songs available through decisions from 1936 to 1945 for the many countries: France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, People’s Republic of China, Republic of China, Poland, Romania, Spain, United Kingdom, USA, USSR, Finland, Norway, Finland, Greece.
Those decisions have no effect whatsoever on gameplay and have no cost.
Executing a decision triggers an audio file that plays in game. The duration of most speeches is between 1 and 3 minutes. Their duration appears in their title in game.
Subtitles in english for all speeches and songs are given in tooltips. Translations for all game languages are coming in the next few months, there are already dozens.
Decisions become visible and available under scripted conditions (designed to match as closely as possible historicity and authenticity). Note: if you diverge from the historical path, some speeches and songs may not be available.
Currently, the mod features 66 different speeches + 16 duplicates arranged with music + 18 songs for total of about 4h of audios. Furthers additions are planned.
