Time is Running Out: Saving Black & White Ruffed Lemurs on Endangered Species Day!

In celebration of Endangered Species Day (17 May 2024), we shine a light on the Black and White Ruffed Lemur! This playful primate native to Madagascar plays a vital role in its rainforest ecosystem, but habitat loss, deforestation, and climate change threaten their survival.

However, there is hope! The Cango Wildlife Ranch in South Africa provides a safe haven for these incredible creatures. Here, they receive expert care, enrichment activities to keep them healthy and stimulated, and contribute to conservation efforts through partnerships with organizations like the Madagascar Fauna and Flora Group.
