tbh, i would have been fully satisfied if the writers gave ruby a bigger role (in season 3) than extra drama for otis and maeve's relationship -- but they didn't. would have loved to see ruby open up to her friends more which we very briefly saw. the entire time,  they made us think that ruby was trying to change otis, but it was otis who has been changing ruby the whole time. she deserved so much better!!!! nonetheless, i wasn't expecting rubes and ot to even be paired in season 3 again, but seeing them 'together' really tugged on my heartstrings -- it was a wholesome, pleasant surprise. also, i've been crazy for "august" since it came out, and when i made the connection of how well it goes with this ship, i just had to make this edit.
