it is because of softness
it is because of softness that we feel such deep pain for the women in Gaza, where ~5000 women give birth every month without access to healthcare, 23,000 are wounded and over half a million have been displaced from their homes.
it is because of softness that we can recognise how an “always-on” hustle culture doesn’t serve our society’s emotional, communal or spiritual growth.
it is because of softness that we feel connected to voiceless life — the trees and the animals and the nature — and feel a desire to protect it.
staying sensitive is a superpower because it means noticing when things are wrong. it’s noticing when people are hurting and offering a helping hand. it’s including that person in the conversation who’s feeling excluded.
it’s going inward to self-reflect on the triggers of our pain and working on healing.

it’s easier to close off to the world.
it’s much, much harder to feel it. 🦋
happy belated international women’s day. here’s to advocating for all our sisters who are suffering — especially our trans sisters, our Palestinian sisters, and every woman facing oppression of any kind. may they be liberated ❤️
