Varthur is a part of East Bengaluru. While State Highway-35 marks Varthur’s border in the northeast, Varthur Lake Road is situated in the northwest. Old Airport Road touches the locality at its northern tip. Varthur is surrounded by areas like Whitefield, Marathahalli, and Kundanahalli. The development of Varthur and the surrounding areas started with the IT boom of Bengaluru in the 90s. Varthur’s real estate prominence is due to its proximity to some of the major IT hubs in East Bengaluru.
Whitefield, Marathahalli and ITPL are 4, 8 and 10 km away. Apart from this, Sarjapur and Koramangala are just half an hour’s drive away, in normal traffic conditions. Varthur is also home to many multinational companies like Wipro Technologies and Cisco.
Ryan International, Whitefield Global, Oakridge International, Global Indian International School, CMR Institute of Technology and New Horizon College of Engineering are located within a 5 to 8 km radius. While there are many clinics in the locality, the residents can also access leading hospitals such as Columbia Asia, Aayug Multispeciality, Sathya Sai, and Hope Hospital, which are situated at a distance of around 5-9 km.
Varthur has many small shopping outlets and complexes that cater to your daily shopping requirements. Retail infrastructure like Banks, ATMs, restaurants, eateries and gyms is also found in good numbers. However, you have to head to the Forum Value Mall or Park Square Mall for your weekend entertainment and shopping. These malls are about 3.6 km and 7.6 km away from the locality.
Sarjapur Road, Varthur Main Road and the Outer Ring Road are the significant stretches of connectivity in Varthur. Varthur Lake Road, Balagere Road, Sorahunase Main Road, Muthsandra Main Road, Harohalli Road and Halasahalli Road are some of the internal roads of importance that enhance Varthur’s intra and interconnectivity quotient.
