Five years have passed since the release of Splatoon 2 for the Nintendo Switch. At long last, the third game is right around the corner. In this video, I want to give you a comprehensive overview of the series so that you’re more than ready for the big splash when Splatoon 3 releases on September 9th.

This project started out as a simple Splatfest overview where I share my pick for each one. But as per usual, I couldn't stop my self from making the video more elaborate. I ended up making an entire timeline, lore and games overview video, albeit a bit rushed. If I had known that the video was gonna get this traction, I would've done it more thorough. Still, thank you very much for all the support!

You may notice that much of the script is copied from the Splatoon Wiki. This was to save time so I have enough to make the Splatfest picks videos before Splatoon 3 comes out. Huge thanks to the Splatoon Wiki for the information! I realized shortly after releasing the video that I missed out on some important lore, specifically the lore of Pearl and Marina and how they tied into the story of Octo Expansion. Another thing I missed out on is how they receive the themes for each Splatfest. I'll do my best to include it in my upcoming video about Splatfests picks and results.
