I was making a fundraiser
I was making a fundraiser film about some of the people in New York City who needed help because they were struggling. My interviewing style was and still is more of a dialogue than question-and-answer. I visited one apartment building and just talked with people. Great characters they were. I never forgot what the man said about his shoe trees and what they meant to him. Of course now, I am just about their age. And I don't have shoe trees.
