Giardini-Naxos/ Taormina

One week in Sicily. Driving from Catania airport heading up to Giardini Naxos.We stayed at the resort ATA hotel on the beach. The hotel overlooking the beautiful Mt. Etna. Most of the time, Mt.Etna was covered by the cloud. Because Mt. Etna is active volcano, the soil in that area fit well for agriculture such as growing olive, and fruit trees. Most of the cities in sicily are hundreds or maybe thousand years old as it was an important hub during Roman empire. However, because most of the industries are in northern Italy, sicily has became one of the least developed parts of italy. Many of the beautiful old towns are not well maintained and many even look rundown. For the first 2 days we were able to go around the east coast. Visited the history town NOTO, exploring the old town Ortigia which I have compiled the pics in a different clips. After that I was very sick and stayed mostly in the hotel room only with food delivered to our room. On one of those days, we went out for lunch in the village nearby and after that went to the valley where the remains of the Mt.Etna magma formed a small magma cliff on the river valley. Taormina is one of the beautiful little town maybe village on the hill just around 20 minutes drive from where we stayed. It is a small village where the remains of greek theatre can be found. We then drove up to the most high hill to the castle where I took the pics down the hill...
