You may ask why would it be important to have the factory prep package from GMC, Chevrolet or Ford. Easy answer is ease of use, saving of bed space and the ability to potentially re use your expensive 5th wheel hitch that you bought for your last truck. this system, although not the same allows you to use a locking plate to connect instead of above bed rails. I'll walk you though a way and part to use to save you money on your new HD truck with puck system and use your old hitch. This part also works between the three, sorry Dodge Ram you are all by yourself on this one. Good on 2021 2022 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD, and 2020 2021 2022 2023 Ford Superduty F-250 and F-350 with both Diesel and Gas.
