Red Dead Redemption 2 Secret Easter Egg - The Strange Man
In Bayall Edge, Lemoyne there is a shack where you can find some mysterious paintings and writings on the wall left by the Strange Man that you will encounter for the first time in Red Dead Redemption.
During the first visit to the cabin you will see a portrait with a black silhouette, together with paintings of landscapes and symbolic animals that reflect your current honor status: bucks and eagles for high honor, vultures and coyotes if you have low honor.
Later on you can visit the shack again and you will find a more defined shape of a man wearing a top hat.
After several in-game days, the facial features of the man in the painting become more clear.
In the fourth visit you will find the complete painting of the Strange Man, and if you look at the mirror, he will also appear briefly behind you. You can inspect the painting to add new information to the journal.
The portrait of the Strange Man and the other paintings will disappear completely after a few in-game days if you visit the shack again.
If you visit Herbert Moon at his General Store in Armadillo, John will ask him about the small portrait of the Strange Man sitting on a shelf behind him.
It’s implied that Herbert Moon has made some sort of pact with the Strange Man.
