What To Do When You're Hardstuck

Finding difficulty progressing beyond a certain rank, is a challenge that all competitive players will face at some point. It can often be a frustrating experience made worse by the fact that players who do not have the same problem keep saying to "just get good". We notice that it's very difficult to win games when our teams underperform, but why do higher ranked players keep telling us that it's not our teams fault?
