There are many aspects that make the pianist an incredible film.

But one in particular is the most impactful for me.

The 4 and a half minute segment, manages to capture every emotion Adrian Brody’s character has felt till this moment.

But the real genius of this scene isn’t the visuals, it's the choice of music.

Chopin’s piece is the perfect accompaniment to this, and no other music could come close to describing these horrors.
