Three Practical Steps to Simplification

We've been looking at simplification and abstraction these past three or four weeks. I'm going to conclude this theme with a way to apply the idea of simplification, to practice it to help you improve your compositional design.

Here are the colors on my palette: TItanium White, Cadmium Yellow Lemon, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Orange, Cadmium Red Light, Alizarin Permanent, Dioxazine Purple,  Ultramarine Blue,  Chrome Oxide Green, Phthalo Green.
