What to Do When Your Face is Darker than Your Neck – Makeup Application Technique

Sometimes, the face can be a bit darker than the neck area, which can be confusing if you’re trying to find the right shade of foundation.

If this is a problem you are currently dealing with, here’s what you can do: look for a foundation shade that matches your face, and ignore the fact that your neck is lighter.

Once you’ve applied the foundation evenly over your face, you can now move on to the neck area.

Remember to avoid dragging the foundation all the way down to your neck/décolletage area! This can feel very uncomfortable, and you are using too much product on an area where it is unnecessary.

Instead, go for a powder bronzer or tinted face powder that’s slightly darker so that you can match your neck to your face.

Use a large powder brush and apply the powder bronzer or tinted powder evenly over your neck and décolletage depending on what you are wearing.

Remember to keep the application light handed for a natural finish.
