In this AP Daily: Live Review session for AP Statistics, we will present strategies that will help you tame the challenge of the Investigative Task free-response question on the AP Statistics Exam.
The Investigative Task assesses multiple skill categories and content areas, focusing on the application of skills and content in new contexts or in non-routine ways. By staying calm, starting with what you already know, and being ready to summarize, you can maximize your score. After explaining these strategies, we will use them to unpack two Investigative Tasks from previous exams. For each, we will review the essential components of a complete response, highlight common student errors, and break down the scoring guidelines.
