This javelin Grip video is a basic javelin throw throw video explaining the 3 main grips a javelin thrower can use in competition. Two of these grips are more commonly used by almost all elite throwers.
Though I discuss fork grip as less common, it is absolutely fine to throw with. and yes, there have been throwers in the Olympics that use it.
Finger position, where to grab the javelin binding and products you can use to make your fingers stick better to the javelin are all included in this video.
