The Brahmasutra Shiva Linga is a symbol in Hinduism that represents the infinite and formless form of Lord Shiva. Brahmasutra means a thread that represents Brahman, the ultimate truth. Shiva Lingam means symbol of Lord Shiva. The Shiva Lingam speaks a silent language to Hindu devotees. It is not only the outer symbol of the formless Shiva, but represents the immortal soul within your heart temple, your innermost soul or soul, and the supreme Brahman equivalent of Shiva.
The Brahmasutra Shiva linga has three parts. The lowest of these is known as the Brahma Peetam; The central part is known as the Vishnu Peetam; The uppermost part is known as Shiva Peetam. These are associated with Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the preserver), and Shiva (the destroyer) among the Hindu group of deities.
