This recipe can be made the night before and baked the next morning. It comes together pretty easily and is a great breakfast casserole to share with friends and family. I hope you and your family enjoy it as much as mine.

Mixed Berry French Toast Bake (casserole)
1 Loaf French Bread
6 Large Eggs at room temperature
1/4 C. Sugar (1/3 C. Sugar if you prefer a little more sweetness)
1/2 C. All-Purpose Flour
1/4 t. Salt
2 t. Vanilla Extract
1 & 3/4 C. Half and Half
1 t. Cinnamon
1 1/4 C. Mixed Frozen Berries
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before baking. Longer is recommended, but no more than 12 hours.

Bake in a buttered 13x9 casserole dish @ 400 degrees, 25-35 minutes or until tester comes out clean. Casserole will be golden brown on top.

Sauce
1 C. Mixed Frozen
1 C. Fresh Strawberries cut in 4ths
1/3 C. Sugar
1 T. Water
Stir until sugar dissolves and boil untouched for 4-5 minutes. Stir sauce and remove from heat. As it cools, sauce will thicken up slightly. Serve warm.
