As the title says. This isn’t a detailed tutorial but describes the full experience in detail of how I repaired my lens. The lens itself came stock with many Pentax cameras and is fairly cheaply made with a plastic body. Internally there are 2 flat springs that are glued on to actuate the autoexposure button, however, over time the glue wears out and often with vibrations it can come loose and jam the aperture ring. You can find detailed written solutions and advice at the following links. These are what I followed when making this video: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/114-maintenance-repair-articles/88051-pentax-50mm-f1-7-aperture-ring-repair-4.html https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/114-maintenance-repair-articles/88051-pentax-50mm-f1-7-aperture-ring-repair.html The lens is similar in design to the f/2 50mm lens which is disassembled in detail with a better look at the internals and their purpose here: https://youtu.be/yQbQvHJJQ3E?si=alKpeNwZe-_9a2z_ Let me know if you have any questions about it!
